Deepening our support to our venture community
This moment calls for bold, mission-driven decisions about how to sustain and grow impact. K–12 nonprofits are navigating financial and policy pressures while also reexamining their strategies and business models for long-term effectiveness. At the same time, many organizations are proactively exploring strategic collaboration as a way to accelerate impact, extend reach, and deepen sustainability.
NewSchools seeks to provide support and practical tools so leaders can explore options with confidence – whether or not a formal partnership is the right fit right now.
With that in mind, NewSchools and Deloitte are collaborating on a two-part effort to help nonprofit leaders explore the range of strategic collaboration options available to them.
1. Strategic Collaborations Interest Survey
We’re fielding a short survey to better understand the needs and interests across our community so we can more effectively support your strategic next steps. Your input will help us identify common themes, better understand what drives collaboration, interest, or hesitancy, and ensure that the resources we design are truly responsive to what leaders need right now. As part of the survey, you’ll also have the option to share select responses with other consenting organizations to support potential partner discovery.
The survey will remain open until March 17, 2026 at 5pm ET / 2pm PT.
2. Virtual Webinar Series
These sessions are designed to be useful even if a collaboration isn’t the right fit right now. We welcome leaders who want to better understand the landscape, strengthen strategic readiness, and learn from peers.

A practical introduction to collaboration pathways, key considerations, and common pitfalls. Participants will also complete a readiness assessment to help gauge organizational preparedness for strategic collaborations.

What We’re Exploring Next
Following the webinars, NewSchools will expand its management assistance support to help ventures assess strategic pathways. We will launch a pilot with an initial cohort of organizations, pairing flexible capital with targeted technical expertise to help leaders evaluate collaboration options and determine the path that best aligns with their mission. We will apply insights from this pilot to determine how we might scale this support over time.
