Clare Squire is the Senior Manager of Philanthropic Partnerships at NewSchools, where she mobilizes resources, cultivates collaborative partnerships, and directs catalytic capital toward innovators reimagining public education.
Having grown up attending innovative Minneapolis elementary schools in the 1980s focused on music, Spanish immersion, and peace studies, Clare experienced firsthand the power of dynamic public education. These early experiences ground her commitment to supporting equitable schools and connected communities.
Clare brings over a decade of experience across nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic development. Outside of her work with NewSchools, she serves on the Board of Directors for The HEAL Project, supporting hands-on programming that teaches young people where their food comes from and connects them to environmental stewardship.
Clare received her Master of Public Policy in Nonprofit Leadership and Administration from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Sociology from Mills College. She is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys hiking and exploring Northern California with her family and her bloodhound dog, Huey.
