Modesto is the Founder and Executive Director of Libertas Academy Charter School in Springfield, MA. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in schools and in the military. Modesto was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Massachusetts when he was in middle school. He attended the University of Massachusetts- Amherst where he received a B.A. in Political Science and graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Master’s in Ed with a concentration on School Leadership.
