Erin Harless is the Manager of Research & Learning at NewSchools Venture Fund. In this role, she works to understand, communicate, and strengthen the impact of our investments across all three investment areas. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Analyst on the Innovative Schools team.
Before joining NewSchools, Erin was a research analyst in SRI International’s Center for Education Policy, where she worked on rigorous evaluations of educational initiatives to improve teaching quality and student outcomes. She started her career as a small-group instructor at an elementary charter school in Boston, Massachusetts.
Erin holds an Ed.M. in educational policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She earned her B.A. in public policy studies with a minor in Spanish from Duke University. She is a volunteer mentor for Year Up Bay Area and enjoys hiking, traveling, and cheering for Duke basketball in her free time.
