John Garcia III is Executive Director of the Pathways Impact Fund at StriveTogether, where he advances opportunities that connect students to college and careers. He co-chairs the Commission on Purposeful Pathways, mobilizing funding for regional intermediaries and elevating bright spots for research and support. With over 20 years across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors — including senior roles at the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Education — John brings deep expertise in education policy and systems change. Previously founding president of the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, he holds degrees from Arizona State University and a doctorate from Harvard. He lives in Washington, D.C.
