FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NewSchools Announces $10M+ in Funding to Accelerate Innovation in Education
October 29, 2025 – NewSchools Venture Fund announced today more than $10 million in funding to help visionary educators and innovators reimagine what public education can be. The funding will support ideas that make teaching and learning more engaging, effective, and responsive to the needs of today’s students — with the goal of expanding opportunity and improving outcomes for students across the country.
Four Key Investment Areas
- Innovative Public Schools: New innovative public schools that support students to develop a strong academic foundation and skills needed for success in life.
- Learning Solutions: K-8 reading and math solutions that build foundational skills and personalize learning to support student success
- Teaching Reimagined: Solutions that redesign educator roles, bridge school and community, and leverage AI to make teaching more sustainable, effective, and joyful
- Learning Differences: Solutions that enhance teaching and learning for students with diagnosed and undiagnosed learning disabilities
Selected ventures will receive:
- Funding: Direct financial support to advance their work. One-year, unrestricted grants range from $150,000 to $250,000
- Expert Support: One-on-one coaching and access to national experts
- Community: Connection with peer organizations across the country
