Every organization right now, from Fortune 500 companies to nonprofits, is asking how to put AI to work. Few have a clear way to do it. Renaissance Philanthropy built the AI Talent Accelerator to close that gap: a field experiment pairing a diverse cohort of organizations with engineers from its Engineering Hub, the same team behind the Learning Engineering Virtual Institute (LEVI). The Accelerator launched in May 2026, starting in education, where Renaissance’s team has its deepest expertise, with lessons meant to apply well beyond a single sector. The effort is backed by Valhalla Foundation, Walton Family Foundation, Schusterman Family Philanthropies, Overdeck Family Foundation, and Siegel Family Endowment.
In August 2026, Renaissance Philanthropy launched a new track, the AI Foundations Studio, and NewSchools joined as its inaugural network partner. Through the partnership, Renaissance’s engineers provide direct technical consulting to select AI-powered ventures across our portfolio, hands-on support with the kind of specialized, learning-science-fluent engineering talent that’s hard for early-stage teams to find on their own.
