The Michigan Educator Workforce Initiative (MEWI) ensures Michigan’s schools have the diverse, high-quality teachers and leaders they deserve. It partners with K-12 districts and higher education institutions to design innovative approaches to recruiting and developing educators, providing flexible funding and technical support while sharing lessons with system leaders and policymakers. MEWI is now working to expand this approach beyond Michigan.
