Quill.org’s mission is to enable 10 million 4th-12th grade students attending low-income, Title-1 schools to become strong readers, writers, and critical thinkers in the next five years. Quill currently serves 12,000 schools across the United States (8,000 Title-1 schools) through free, AI-powered literacy tools that provide students with real-time, actionable feedback and coaching so that students can revise their work and quickly build their literacy skills. While Quill primarily serves English Language Arts classrooms today, support from NewSchools Venture Fund is enabling Quill to provide “writing across the curriculum” by developing new AI-powered curricula for Social Studies and STEM classrooms.
