Childhood Education International (CE International) is committed to developing and amplifying innovative solutions to education challenges. CE International is launching the Refugee Educator Academy, an initiative dedicated to supporting prospective educators of color living in displacement, conflict, crisis, migration, and resettlement contexts. The Refugee Educator Academy will build a structured, supportive, and responsive pathway to teaching for people of refugee/immigrant backgrounds. In facilitated communities of practice, participants will follow a year-long journey that includes learning, micro-credentialing, mentorship, career exploration, and creation of personalized plans to reach career goals. This initiative will diversify the teacher workforce, address teacher shortages, improve education quality, and create more inclusive, culturally relevant schools.
