Kristin Umland is the President and co-founder of Illustrative Mathematics. Before joining the IM team, she was an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico, where she carried out research in mathematics education, taught pre-service and in-service elementary and secondary teachers, and conducted education outreach at the local, state, and national level.
