Orlenda Herrera is an Executive Assistant at NewSchools Venture Fund. In this role she supports the CEO, Senior Managing Partner and the Innovative Schools team. 

Prior to joining NewSchools, Orlenda was an administrative assistant at the Guatemalan Consulate. She completed a long-term assignment at Kaiser Permanente, as well as shorter projects at organizations like Cushman Wakefield, San Francisco Education Fund, and KQED. 

Orlenda is part of the Maisin Scholar award review committee. She studied International Relations at San Francisco State University. In her free time, she enjoys going to Giants games, traveling and walking the embarcadero in San Francisco.
