Ana León-Santos

Senior Analyst, Racial Equity

Ana is a Senior Analyst on the Racial Equity investment area. In this role, she leads the data management lifecycle, analysis, and insight generation in the Racial Equity portfolio.

Prior to joining NewSchools, Ana led research projects focused on how socioeconomic disparities impact child development. Ana began her career in early childhood development at Columbia University, where she completed a masters in Neuroscience and Education. There she also led a national study looking at the connection between poverty reduction and brain development. Since then, she’s managed research and mentoring initiatives at the National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families and the Columbia Population Research Center.

Ana grew up in Puerto Rico and currently resides in D.C. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering as a tutor, playing recreational volleyball, and exploring the city with her dog, Nilo.
