Carrie-Andrea Koppelman is a Manager on the Development team, leading activities to support and engage NewSchools’ generous donors.

She brings 15 years of operations and communications project management experience to her role. Previously, Carrie-Andrea supported operations and leadership at The Nueva School, a progressive PK-12 school; prior to that, she helped launch The Food Business School, an entrepreneurship education center of The Culinary Institute of America. Carrie-Andrea also draws on 8 years of experience working as Administrative Manager for Physic Ventures, a social impact focused venture capital firm. 

A native of Oakland, Carrie-Andrea is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. Her work at NewSchools is the easier of her two jobs. Her real work begins at home chasing around her two kiddos.
