The Union Square STEAM Center is a public school that will launch in New York, New York in Fall 2022. The school intends to serve 300 students at full enrollment across grades 11 and 12. Through project-based learning in a real-world workplace environment, students will be equipped with the technical, professional, and financial skills needed to create their own futures and careers. With a focus on building their own identity, agency, and social capital, scholars are prepared to adapt across their careers in the 21st-century economy. The Union Square STEAM Center will be an innovative training hub for a socioeconomically and academically diverse group of public high school students. The second school to utilize the STEAM Center model, this school will focus specifically on high-demand technology career pathways by leveraging the robust business ecosystem of Union Square and Midtown South areas of New York City.
