Teaching Lab’s mission is to shift the paradigm of teacher professional learning for educational equity. They support teachers to reimagine student learning using an antiracist lens and culturally-responsive practices. To this end, TL utilizes their Head, Heart, and Habits approach to transform the way teachers use  EL Education and Illustrative Math to accelerate learning for Black and Latino students, as well as those experiencing poverty. TL’s model is based on evidence showing that using high-quality curriculum, building strong teacher communities, and using learning science for continuous improvement results in dramatic improvements in student learning.
