Neema Desai

Neema is the Senior Director of Program at All Means All, working closely with school leaders across the country to reimagine schools that truly serve all students. Before joining the All Means All team, Neema worked for over a decade in various leadership roles with DC Prep, most recently serving as the organization’s Senior Director of Schools. In this role, she worked as a principal coach and manager, supporting principals to manage and execute on their vision for their schools. Passionate about building communities and fighting for a world where all children have access to excellent schools outright, Neema has served in numerous roles in education such as Founding Principal, Principal, Assistant Principal and Middle School Teacher. Before joining DC Prep’s team, Neema worked as a Special Education teacher in New York through Teach for America. She is energized by the craft of coaching, leadership development, building rigorous and empowered school communities, and most of all, she loves collaborating and problem solving in the spirit of excellence for all children and educators.

Neema has a masters in Special Education from Bank Street College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from George Washington University. While she was born and raising in Atlanta, GA, Neema has called DC home for over a decade. She delights in and is humbled by her new role as mother to June, Shay, and Raya, is wife to fellow educator, Shomari, and daughter to two immigrant parents who have always elevated and created space for education as the number one priority.
