The Sojourner Truth Public Charter School is a public school that launched in Washington, D.C. in Fall 2020. The school intends to serve 450 students at full enrollment across grades 6-12. Truth is the District’s first public Montessori middle and high school, but no previous Montessori experience is necessary and all are welcome! Truth’s personalized model meets students where they are and gives them the opportunity to explore personal interests through unique passion projects and business enterprises such as the campus farm. Truth is committed to celebrating the uniqueness of every individual, and to engaging in anti-racist and anti-bias work at all levels.
