Montessori Elementary at Highland Park (MEHP) is a co-ed public charter school that launched in Chattanooga, Tennessee in Fall 2021. The school intends to serve 450 students at full enrollment across grades PreK3-5. MEHP offers a dynamic, participatory learning environment that integrates Montessori education with experiential learning grounded in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. Key elements of the Montessori model create innovative, individualized learning opportunities for children that respond to each child’s unique learning needs and talents. Guided interactions with teachers and peers, as well as independent study, maximizes learning outcomes for diverse learners.
