Keisha is the Communications Manager at NewSchools Venture Fund, and is responsible for telling the story of NewSchools, our ventures, and the impact those investments are making in education.
Prior to joining NewSchools, she worked in communications at several PreK-12 independent schools throughout California, most recently at Head-Royce School, where she led the content and storytelling strategy, managed publications and enhanced communications efforts that helped attract families to the school. A lifelong storyteller and former television journalist, Keisha’s ability to tell poignant, relevant and impactful stories led her to winning two prestigious awards: an Emmy® and a Golden Mic.
She received her B.A. in journalism from California State University – Northridge, and her M.A. in International Relations from University of Oklahoma. When she isn’t at work you can find her teaching yoga and aerial arts classes, or hiking in the Oakland Hills with her Basenji mix, Kuma.
