Dani Lindo is an Analyst at NewSchools Venture Fund. In her role, Dani uses data to reveal insight into the impact and investment processes of the Diverse Leaders team.
Prior to joining NewSchools, Dani was a secondary science teacher in traditional public schools. She spent her teaching career creating inclusive, engaging, and student-centered classrooms that promoted student curiosity and learning. As a lead teacher, she shared her teaching practice with colleagues to support their professional development.
Dani is currently a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Education Policy and Planning. Her experiences in the classroom inform and inspire her research in teacher professional identity, organizational climates, teacher retention, and mixed-methods research designs. Dani also has a master’s degree in urban education from UCLA and bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and English Literature from USC.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys trying (and failing) to recreate her Halmoni’s recipes, reading frivolous books, and watching massive amounts of reality television. She also loves hiking and camping with her husband and their dog, Rickety Cricket.
