Cristina Rosales was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Since 2014, Cristina Rosales has served in several capacities at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, a charter network of 7 campuses and 3500 students. At CNCA, Cristina started off as an office and food service clerk. In these roles, Cristina managed main office functions of a 700 student school and was responsible for running the food service program through the national school lunch program. Most recently, Cristina was responsible for special education and student information and records at the Kayne Siart Campus. In this role, Cristina managed all the administrative, operational and compliance aspects of the federal special education program including the yearly calendar, paperwork and records, and the student information systems. Cristina was responsible for ensuring Camino Nuevo’s compliance with local, state and federal laws regarding special education and the family educational rights protection act. In 2018, Cristina received the excellence award at the annual Camino Nuevo success conference. This award is given to one employee from across the district (of nearly 500 employees) who demonstrates high levels of excellence in their day to day work. In her spare time, Cristina enjoys a good puzzle, gardening, camping, and going on road trips across the country. Cristina is fluent in Spanish and English and is a trained Spanish translator for technical education language.
