Clare Squire is the Senior Manager on the Development team at NewSchools Venture Fund, where she leads fundraising activities for the portfolio of foundations that support our work. Prior to joining NewSchools, Clare managed research and development activities at ISKME, including Big Ideas Fest, an annual convening of education stakeholders. Clare also served as a Research Associate with the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center at the University of Minnesota, where her academic research focused on cross-sector collaboration, public policy implementation, and nonprofit governance and accountability. Clare received her B.A. in Sociology from Mills College and earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. In the early 1980s, she won the lottery to attend Longfellow Elementary School, a Spanish and music immersion magnet school in the Minneapolis Public School District. She resides in Half Moon Bay, California with her husband and two children.
