Achievement First (AF) is a charter management organization that was founded in 1998 to serve students in grades K-12 in Connecticut and New York. AF strives to close the achievement gap by ensuring that urban students have access to a great public education.
Aspire Public Schools
Aspire Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 1999 to serve California students in grade K-12. Aspire believes that college prep begins in kindergarten and creates rigorous and thoughtful curriculum that meets this need for students.
Education for Change (EFC)
Education for Change (EFC) is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2005 to provide a superior public education to Oakland's most underserved children by creating a system of K-8 public schools that relentlessly focus on students' academic achievement.
Green Dot Public Schools
Green Dot Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in Los Angeles in 2000. Green Dot ensures that its high school students graduate with a sense of personal accountability, cultural and community awareness, the skills necessary to succeed in college, and a passion for lifelong learning.
Leadership Public Schools (LPS)
Leadership Public Schools (LPS) is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2002 to serve students in grades K-12. By graduation, all LPS students will have mastered critical thinking, clear and effective communication, personal responsibility, and social responsibility.
Mastery Charter Schools
Mastery Charter Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2001 and serves students in grades 7-12. Mastery operates new charter schools, as well as several “turnaround” schools for the School District of Philadelphia.
Noble Network of Charter Schools
Noble Network of Charter Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 1999 to provide educational choice to Chicago students in grades 6-12 seeking to build a foundation for college success.
Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC)
Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) is a nonprofit charter management organization based in Los Angeles and serving grades K-12. It was founded in 1999 on the belief that superior schools build superior communities.
Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools
Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in Los Angeles in 2004 to offer K-12 students a personalized learning environment, including a rigorous curriculum that focuses on interdisciplinary projects and longer blocks of instructional time.
Civic Builders
Civic Builders was founded in 2002 as a nonprofit real estate development firm that relieves New York charter schools of the burden of building and maintaining school buildings, allowing school leaders to focus time and resources on educating children.
Friendship Public Charter Schools
Friendship Public Charter Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 1997 to provide Washington D.C.’s K-12 students with a world-class education that motivates them to achieve high academic standards, enjoy learning and develop as ethical, well-rounded citizens that contribute actively to their communities.
Inner City Education Foundation (ICEF)
Inner City Education Foundation (ICEF) is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 1994 to provide Los Angeles’ at-risk students in grades K-12 with an excellent education.
Lighthouse Academies

Founded in 2004 and incubated by NewSchools Venture Fund, Pacific Charter School Development is a nonprofit that identifies, acquires and develops cost-effective charter school facilities that are leased back to academically successful charter school organizations.

Perspectives grows educators, engages parents as partners, and connects students to the community.
