Achievement First (AF) is a charter management organization that was founded in 1998 to serve students in grades K-12 in Connecticut and New York. AF strives to close the achievement gap by ensuring that urban students have access to a great public education.
Aspire Public Schools
Aspire Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 1999 to serve California students in grade K-12. Aspire believes that college prep begins in kindergarten and creates rigorous and thoughtful curriculum that meets this need for students.
Education for Change (EFC)
Education for Change (EFC) is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2005 to provide a superior public education to Oakland's most underserved children by creating a system of K-8 public schools that relentlessly focus on students' academic achievement.
Green Dot Public Schools
Green Dot Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in Los Angeles in 2000. Green Dot ensures that its high school students graduate with a sense of personal accountability, cultural and community awareness, the skills necessary to succeed in college, and a passion for lifelong learning.
Inner City Education Foundation (ICEF)

Leadership Public Schools (LPS) is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2002 to serve students in grades K-12. By graduation, all LPS students will have mastered critical thinking, clear and effective communication, personal responsibility, and social responsibility.
Lighthouse Academies
Lighthouse Academies is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2004 to serve students in grades K-12. Lighthouse uses a Core Knowledge curriculum model that is enriched by character education, phonics-based reading, and an instructional focus on the arts.

KIPP DC is a nonprofit charter management organization based in Washington D.C. Founded in 2001, KIPP DC runs high-performing, college-preparatory charter schools that that serve the city’s neediest communities with a strong culture of achievement and support.
LearnNow
LearnNow is a for-profit charter management organization that was founded in 1999 to create a network of schools with a focus on math, science and technology skills for low-income children. LearnNow was acquired by Edison schools in 2001.
Mastery Charter Schools
Mastery Charter Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2001 and serves students in grades 7-12. Mastery operates new charter schools, as well as several “turnaround” schools for the School District of Philadelphia.
Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC)
Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) is a nonprofit charter management organization based in Los Angeles and serving grades K-12. It was founded in 1999 on the belief that superior schools build superior communities.
Uncommon Schools
Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization that was founded in 2005; the organization operates public charter schools in the Northeast that create transformative college preparatory opportunities for low-income children.
