For more than a decade, NewSchools’ name has been synonymous with innovation. Thanks to NewSchools’ support, education entrepreneurs are demonstrating every day that it is possible to dramatically improve the opportunities available to the most underserved students; in so doing, they are changing the conditions in which low-income children are educated throughout the country.
Since our founding, we have made portfolio-level investments in 35 nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including nonprofit charter management organizations (CMOs), school support organizations, accountability and performance tools, and human capital providers.
While these ventures vary in mission and location, all share one common characteristic: they are all having a significant impact on the lives of underserved children across the country.
