Maura Marino
Maura Marino is an Associate Partner in NewSchools Venture Fund’s East Coast office, where she focuses on strategic projects and venture support.
Prior to joining NewSchools, Maura was Program Director and Lead Teacher at East Palo Alto High School, a charter school in Northern California. As Program Director, she coordinated student support services and managed external relations in addition to teaching humanities and advisory. Maura served on the steering committee for the Stanford Schools Corporation and was a member of the Stanford School of Education’s Performance Assessment Collaborative. During graduate school, Maura worked on the Network Growth Team at the KIPP Foundation, implementing their smart growth strategy.
Maura earned a BA in American Studies from Stanford University, a master of arts in teaching from Teachers’ College, and an MBA from Harvard University. She is currently at NewSchools Venture Fund as a Harvard Business School Leadership Fellow.
